- RETIREMENT PLAN: Pers 2% at 55 Plan; District pays ½ of the employee’s 7% contribution after 5 years of employment; full 7% after 10 years of employment.
- VACATION: 88 hrs. per year, First 5 years employed, 128 hrs. per year, 5 to 10 years employed, 168 hrs. per year, 10 years & over (annual leave can be accrued up to 2 ½ times the annual accrual rate)

OJAI VALLEY SANITARY DISTRICT
The Ojai Valley Sanitary District (District) provides sanitary sewer service for approximately 20,000 residents of the City of Ojai and the unincorporated Ojai Valley. The Ojai Valley is located approximately 10 miles inland from the City of Ventura, in Ventura County.
The District is a public agency organized under the Sanitary District Act of 1923 and is governed by an elected seven member Board. The District’s Total Budget for Fiscal Year 2009-10 is $7.8 million, which includes a $4.6 million operating budget. The District provides sewer service to approximately 7,500 accounts. The District is operated by 19 full time employees.
THE POSITION
This position performs a full range of senior-level clerical duties in response to public inquiries regarding District services or requests for sewer connections. This position also performs a variety of administrative support duties, including assisting in billing activities, acting as receptionist, and preparing forms and documents. This position operates under general supervision of the Administrative Officer.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidate must have the experience, knowledge and ability to: 1) process customer connections & annexations; explain District policies to customers & prepare necessary correspondence to customers and other agencies; 2) provide background information & search data in preparation for and support of District actions; 3) maintain and update files & records on customer/District data; 4) support administration, billing & receptionist.
EXERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
Minimum of two years of clerical, accounting and data collection, or equivalent-level experience in business administration, permit processing, or the preparation and interpretation of blue-prints or engineering drawings.
EDUCATION
Education equivalent to completion of twelfth grade or equivalent experience.

- Following selection, and prior to appointment, the selected candidate will be required to take and pass a District-sponsored physical examination and fitness for duty examination.
